Can someone explain the Punnett square ?

Answers

Answer:

so in the punnet square, you hvae the 4 squares inside the big on. on top of the square, you have 2 letters, representing the dominant and the repressed genes. On one side, typically  the left, you have another two letters, again genes. to get the gene types to fill in your squares, you take the first letter of the top set and the first letter of the side set. for this example, we are going to use Bb(top) and BB(side). you would take the B from the top, and you would pu it with the B from the side. in the top left square, you should have BB. next, you go and take that same top B and do it with the second letter of the side, B again. this again gives you BB.  next, you take the second letter of the top, b, and you join it with B. in the top right square, you would write or type in Bb. Even though the b was on top, it is after the B because in this cause, it is not the dominant gene. when you do the second top and side letters together, you again get Bb.

Explanation:

the main points.

in this example, i used B to be the dominant gene and b to be the repressed/ submissive gene. you always put the dominant gene letter before the repressedmake sure you fill the squares in properly. in this one, you should have 3 BB and 1 Bb. this shows that the gene set BB is going to showwhen you fill in the squares, the first top letter and the first side letter fill in the top left square.the first top letter and the second side letter go left bottom.second top letter and first side letter go in right top.second top and second side go in right bottom.always place the dominant gene first in the punnet square.

The Punnett square is a square diagram that is used to predict the genotypes of a particular cross or breeding experiment. It is named after Reginald C. Punnett, who devised the approach. The diagram is used by biologists to determine the probability of an offspring having a particular genotype.

A coolie of 40 kg weight carries 20 kg salt and climbs up 20 steps of 20
centimeters each in 2 minutes. Calculate the work done by him and his power.
[g= 10 m/s2)
ma
OW

Answers

Explanation:

Given

mass of coolie = 40 kg

Mass of salt = 20 kg

Total mass (m) = 40 + 20 = 60 kg

Displacement (h) = 20*20 = 400 CM = 4 m

Work done (w) = ?

Power (P) = ?

We know we have the formula

work done =force × displacement

or work done = m * g * h

work done = 60×10×4

work done = 2400 joules

Similarly

power = work/time

power = MGH/time

power=60×10×4/120

power=2400/120

power= 20watt

Predict the effect on shrubs growing in one area if they are treated with a compound that blocks electron flow through the electron transport chains of chloroplasts. Provide reasoning to justify your prediction.

Answers

Answer:

The shelves or die and will not be able to produce sugars. Blocking electron flow prevents the formation of the proton gradient required to produce the ATP used for sugar production.

The shrubs will die because they cannot photosynthesize. Without it, plants begin to wilt and finally die because photosynthesis requires light.

In the absence of photosynthesis, do plants die?

In essence, photosynthesis is the mechanism that powers the survival and growth of plants and even algae. The majority of plants would perish quickly if photosynthesis suddenly stopped.

Night-time is not a time when plants engage in photosynthesis. Only when exposed to the right wavelengths of artificial light during the night can plants perform photosynthesis. Light energy is absorbed with the aid of the pigment chlorophyll. Light energy is converted into chemical energy through the process of photosynthesis.

What is osmoregulation?

Answers

Answer:

adalah penghijauwan kota

Osmoregulation is the active regulation of the osmotic pressure of an organism's body fluids, detected by osmoreceptors, to maintain the homeostasis of the organism's water content; that is, it maintains the fluid balance and the concentration of electrolytes (salts in solution which in this case is represented by body fluid) to keep the body fluids from becoming too diluted or concentrated. Osmotic pressure is a measure of the tendency of water to move into one solution from another by osmosis.[1] The higher the osmotic pressure of a solution, the more water tends to move into it. Pressure must be exerted on the hypertonic side of a selectively permeable membrane to prevent diffusion of water by osmosis from the side containing pure water.

Organisms in aquatic and terrestrial environments must maintain the right concentration of solutes and amount of water in their body fluids; this involves excretion (getting rid of metabolic nitrogen wastes and other substances such as hormones that would be toxic if allowed to accumulate in the blood) through organs such as the skin and the kidneys.

Your answer is Small Intestine.

Your small intestine makes digestive juice, which mixes with bile and pancreatic juice to complete the breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Bacteria in your small intestine make some of the enzymes you need to digest carbohydrates. Your small intestine moves water from your bloodstream into your GI tract to help break down food. Your small intestine also absorbs water with other nutrients.
