Enable ClearVM Failover

Failover is automatically enabled for hosts using Network Attached Storage (NAS). This configuration enables operators to rescue virtual machines from a failed (and unreachable) host by moving the virtual machines to an operational host. In essence, an operational host may temporarily take over a failed host’s remote storage to retrieve the VMs, and those VMs can then be launched on the operational host.

The operational server must have access to the failed server’s storage (both servers should typically be on the same network). If VLAN is used on the failed server, then the operational server also requires VLAN access.
