MX Records and Mail Records

The Mail eXchanger record (MX record) tells mail systems how to handle mail that is addressed to a particular domain. To put it simply, if you use your domain for e-mail, you need to configure an MX record. Please review the DNS Primer for more help on DNS records.

Activation

  • Login to your ClearCenter account.
  • Click on <navigation>DNS|DNS Records|MX Records</navigation> in the top navigation bar.

Configuration

To add MX records for your target mail domain:

  • Select the mail domain from the drop-down list
  • Select a priority level for the target mail server
