A student is standing with their back facing a campfire. The student notices that their back is much warmer than their chest. They know that thermal energy is being transferred from the fire and that this method of energy transfer can happen even if no air is present.
This method of energy transfer is —
convection
condensation
conduction
radiation
Answer:Conduction occurs when energy is passed between objects. The transfer of thermal energy is called heat. Particles of matter are in constant motion.

A block of chocolate is melting on a hot pan. What type of heat transfer is this? Describe the way heat is transferred between the hot pan and the chocolate.
Heat transfers: Conduction, Convection, Radiation
Use the sentence Frame Below
[This is an example of ____________. The pan is (warmer/cooler) than the chocolate, that means the molecules in the pan____________.]
A block of chocolate is melting on a hot pan is a example of conduction from the oven conducting the heat that touch’s the pan.
What is conduction ?The term conduction is defined as the process in which heat is transferred from the hotter end to the colder end of an object. Temperature is a measure of the amount of kinetic energy processed by the particles in a sample of matter.
Conduction is the conversion of heat energy from one substance to other or within a substance. After some time, the handle of the spoon will become hot. This is due to transfer of heat energy from molecule to molecule or from atom to atom.
Thus, A block of chocolate is melting on a hot pan is a example of conduction from the oven conducting the heat that touch’s the pan.

Rosa eats a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Peanut butter contains a lot of protein, and bread is mostly starch. Rosa plans to go for a run later this afternoon. Rosa is breathing normally. What does she need from the food she ate and the air she breathes so that she can go on her run? (Sentence starter: The molecules Rosa needs from the food she eats and air she breathes are...
Answer: What does she need from the food she ate and the air she breathes so that she can go on her run?
A. Rosa needs carbohydrates rich food (bread) to carry out her jogging activity. Protein-rich food before exercise is not recommended unless she is on a weight loss program (diet plan).
B. Rosa needs oxygen to perform aerobic respiration, which is required for maximum release of energy (36 molecules per reaction run). Anaerobic reactions yield less energy (2 molecules of ATP per reaction run) and are not recommended.
How do Rosa's body systems work together to get the molecules she needs into her cells?
Rosa's body cells need carbohydrates (glucose) and oxygen to perform aerobic respiration for the release of maximum energy. The glucose and oxygen molecules are provided to the cells via diffusion into the bloodstream. During exercise/jogging, complex molecules of carbohydrates such as starch (present in bread) are broken down into simple molecules (glucose) which are diffused into the blood. Likewise, a high amount of oxygen is provided to the body's cells via diffusion in blood, which is carried out by the faster movement of lungs and heart. The combined action results in the supply of both types of molecules to enter the cell where mitochondria use these substrates to produce energy molecules (ATPs).
How do hair cells use these molecules to release energy for her body to run?
The substrates (glucose and oxygen) enters the bloodstream and then taken up to the cell. Then they are provided to the mitochondria for the release of energy in the form of ATP. This is why mitochondria are known as the powerhouse of the cells. Within the cell, energy is released in a three-step process, i.e. glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation. Here glucose reacts with oxygen. In the end, aerobic respiration per reaction run produces 36 molecules of ATP which are sufficient to meet intensive energy needs. During excrcise, the supply of oxygen and glucose is also faster due to faster lungs and heart actions.
PS: Anaerobic respiration cannot meet energy demands faster because the reaction produces only 2 ATP molecules per reaction run.
Explanation:
The molecules Rosa needs from the food she eats and air she breathes are
Food which are rich in carbohydrate to help her jog. This is because she is on a weight loss program which needs her to avoid proteinFurthermore, she would need oxygen so that she can successfully have aerobic respiration where there would be maximum release of energy to enable her complete her run better
According to the given question, we can see that Rosa wants to lose weight and she takes peanut butter which she takes and she is breathing normally which helps her perform aerobic respiration.
As a result of this, we can see that there is a need for Rosa to have the right diet which would help her with her jogging and weight loss program.
This would need foods that are rich in carbohydrate which would enable her to lose weight better and oxygen so that she could be efficient with her jogging and burn fat.

Explanation:
Answer:
: Chemical change; Chemical property of heat of combustion
Explanation:
A physical change is defined as a change in which there is alteration in shape, size etc. No new substance gets formed in these reactions.
Example: Melting of ice
Physical property is defined as the property of a substance which becomes evident during physical changes. Example: Melting point
A chemical change is defined as a change in which a change in chemical composition takes place. A new substance is formed in these reactions.
Example: combustion
Chemical property is defined as the property of a substance which becomes evident during chemical changes. Example: Reactivity with other substances
Thus when a piece of coal and a piece of wood is burnt , there is formation of new substances and thus is a chemical change. Combustion is a chemical property as it is reactivity of a substance with oxygen.

Photosynthesis occurs and extra food is stored in ground plant tissues in the form of sugars.
What is photosynthesis? It is defined as a process by which plants and other photosynthetic organisms convert the light energy in to chemical energy through the process of cellular respiration.
Some of the energy which is converted is stored in molecules of carbohydrates like sugar and starches which are made up of from carbon dioxide and water . Photosynthetic organisms which can perform photosynthesis are algae and cyanobacteria. Photosynthesis is largely responsible for producing and maintaining the content of oxygen in earth's atmosphere.
The process begins with proteins absorbing light energy which are called reaction centers and contain a green pigment which is called chlorophyll . In plants ,these pigments are present inside organelles called chloroplasts while in bacteria they are present in plasma membrane.

1) Tetanus is a potentially fatal bacterial infection that affects the nerves
2)Tetanus causes painful muscle contractions, particularly in the jaw and neck. It can interfere with the ability to breathe, eventually causing death.
3) infants and the elderly are most likely but every one can get it.
4) The tetanus vaccine is made by taking the tetanus toxin and inactivating it with a chemical. The inactivated toxin is called a "toxoid." Once injected, the toxoid elicits an immune response against the toxin
5) Tetanus antiserum was developed in 1890, with its protective effects lasting a few weeks. The tetanus toxoid vaccine was developed in 1924, and came into common use for soldiers in World War II.
6)CDC recommends tetanus vaccination for all babies and children, preteens and teens, and adults
7) After the initial tetanus series, booster shots are recommended every 10 years.
8)help your immune system protect against these infections
9)Reported tetanus cases have declined more than 95%, and deaths from tetanus have declined more than 99% in the United States since 1947.
10) although the tetanus vaccine can be a very rare cause of a short-lived allergic reaction called "anaphylaxis," the tetanus vaccine does not cause death so the benefits outweigh.
11)They are most commonly found in animal manure and contaminated soil, but may exist virtually anywhere.
Tetanus is a bacteria
The symptoms are muscle spasms and paralysis and or stiffness in muscles
Everyone can get tetanus
Vaccines work by adding a little of the bacteria so your immune system can get a little of tetanus to know how to defend against it.
The first vaccine was produced in 1924
everyone should receive it
you should get one every 10 years
This is important because tetanus is not rare and can cause life changing effects like paralysis
no there has been no real big changes as far as i know
People who vaccinate have a small risk of contracting tetanus from the shot, and people who don't vaccinate could get really bad if not life threatening cases of tetanus.
