Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

vintage

Explanation:

"Vintage" is used to connote old in a desirable way. "Archaic" and "ancient" typically mean either something extremely old (from centuries ago) or sarcastically for things old in a negative way. "Outdated" only ever means a negative thing, like the noun no longer applies modernly.

Tell me what you know about American Foul Brood

One paragraph please and thank you

Answers

Answer:

American foulbrood  is a fatal bacterial disease of honey bee brood caused by the spore forming bacterium Paenibacillus larvae. It is not a stress related disease and can infect the strongest to the weakest colony in an apiary. Infected brood usually die at the pre-pupal or pupal stage.

Explanation:

Heavy infections can affect most of the brood, severely weakening the colony and eventually killing it. The disease is not able to be cured, meaning that destruction of infected colonies and hives or irradiation of infected material is the only way to manage AFB. Although AFB is not highly contagious, bacterial spores can easily be spread between hives and apiaries through beekeeping practices such as through the exchange of equipment and movement of infected combs. Adult bees are not affected by AFB but can spread spores within and between infected and clean hives through robbing and drifting.

Read this sentence. If you oppose this bill, then you do not care about public safety.
This is an example of

Answers

Answer:

Either/or fallacy or argument.

Explanation:

The either/or fallacy is a logical argument where only two options are presented despite the presence of more than two options. This happens when a speaker/ writer asserts the presence of only two choices, which makes it impossible for the other person to choose wisely.

In the given sentence "if you oppose this bill, then you do not care about public safety" is an example of the either/or fallacy. This is because the listener is presented with just two choices- either support the bill or be deemed as an opposition to it. It presents an "either" or "or" situation, leaving the person stuck between the two options.

Biking takes to to many places, especially the gas station. When you leave my subdvision, and follow the main road, towards the east, you'd find that place. I remembered reading a well-informed article that talked about how biking can be really therapeutic and is a great low impact activity. It mentioned how biking helps keep my mind busy (and relaxed) while my body does all the work, and I agreed. Biking frequently allows me to build my muscles during the season where I rarely exercise, so biking improves my phsyical health. Additionally, riding on a bike helps me spend time with my friends who (also) share a common hobby. Whenever we get together, we would ride on the bumpy trails around few lakes in our subdivision and then try out tricks on our bikes. If you go down towards my friend's home, there is a circular road that surrounds many rocks and a large tree. It's a really nice place to try out new cool tricks. Also, I am very good at this trick where I'd lean on my left side, really low, and pedal really fast around the tree. Because of the many sunny days during this season, I get many chances to bike outside!

Which phrase shows Paul’s father’s viewpoint that he believes Paul should learn a lesson?
O I figure you'll remember that a whole lot longer than a whipping.
O "But, Mister Edward -"
O My daddy stopped and looked at me.

Answers

Answer:

O I figure you'll remember that a whole lot longer than a whipping.

Explanation:

I have no context of the story, so this is rather surmised, but this seems to be taken from dialogue or thoughts of Paul's father. The other two choices do not offer any insight of any extent about what Paul's father's belief or opinion.

O I figure you’ll remember that a whole lot more than a whipping.
This is the answer because it shows that the dad believes whatever happened to Paul will teach him more of a lesson than whipping him will.

In your report you must:
• give two benefits of music lessons
• give two benefits of cookery lessons
• state which lessons you would prefer and give one reason why.
You must write between 100 and 150 words only

Answers

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Explanation:

The addition of both cookwry and music lesson have had significant impact on most students and I still see this early positives as a just a glimpse of more to come. Both lessons have really gone a long way in awakening the creative side of thses students as most are now catching up and even see themselves as being gifted in other areas other than those which they actually fancy. Additionally, music lessons have seen some students become more productive as they now join up with bands in their religious houses and neighborhood to perform in shows at their leisure hours and earn while also amassing experience. As for the cookery lessons, some students have used it to leverage the opportunity to gain more experience in fast food restaurants while also earning decently. In essence, the impact have been amazing and I hope we see more creative changes over the nest years. In terms of preference, the two lessons are dependent on the student, as some are more inclined into entertainment and some shifting towards hospitality. On a personal note, cookery lesson is just fine for me as I'm more inclined towards hospitality.

how were conflicts dealt with in the historical era? are we dealing with similar conflicts in the same way?

Answers

Answer:

2015 was the centenary of the events in the Ottoman Empire in which up to a million and a half Armenians met their deaths. Historians on all sides are more or less in agreement on what took place, but present-day Turkey and Armenia continue to be in open disagreement on whether to call these events a genocide or not.

Even if this disagreement is highly unlikely to lead to any kind of armed conflict between Turkey and Armenia, it continues to prevent a rapprochement between them and a normalization of their relations.

This is merely one example of how different views and interpretations of history continue to play a role in creating and stoking conflicts and in hampering efforts for conflict resolution. And even when conflicts are resolved with peace agreements, the unaddressed history you think you have buried can return as zombies to haunt you and at worst lead to a renewal of the conflict.

Post-conflict work also entails writing the history of the conflict in a way that meets the approval of all parties to it. We can well imagine how challenging this is for example in writing a common history for Cyprus, not to mention how to write Middle Eastern history if and when a lasting peace can be made between Israel and Palestine.
