A bridge usually has expansion joints. They allow the bridge to become slightly longer when it experiences thermal expansion. Look at the diagram below of the bridge joint. When the weather becomes cool, the “teeth” of the joint move away from each other. When the weather becomes warm, they move toward each other. Which statement is true about the particles that make up the bridge? A. When the sides of the joint are close together, the particles have more kinetic energy than they do when the sides are farther apart. B. When the sides of the joint are far apart, the particles have more kinetic energy than they do when the sides are closer together. C. The particles contain the same amount of kinetic energy no matter how much the bridge has expanded. D. The kinetic energy of the particles changes, but the amount it changes does not depend on the temperature of the bridge.

Do you think characters such as Dionysus Aries and Hades should be portrayed as God?

Answers

Answer:

yes

Explanation:

because they in stories represent light or god

Answer: Yes

These gods are often portrayed in ways that basically makes people hate them but there is a lot to these gods that make them gods and reasons why they are gods.

For starters Dionysus was made a god by his father Zeus, due to his invention of wine impressing his father. Of course in many legends he often does things that make him seem childish or to immature to have the role of a god. Of course he does have a very important role as a god. His invention of wine brought happiness and joy to the people who it was brought upon.

Ares, the god of war, is definitely questioned whether he is worthy of being a god or not. I mean think about, normally all war has brought upon people death, pain, and sorrow. His role even wasn't that big of a role as god and he was even considered the most unpopular of all the Olympian gods. Although, war is really unnecessary, there is sometimes the need to fight back to defend your land and many other things.

And finally Hades. Many and when same many I mean many, of people already look at Hades and think "Wow, he defiantly looks like a bad guy." Which in most cases is wrong, he simple is just the god of the Underworld, and when you come to think about it there wasn't much left for Hades as Zeus to the sky and Poseidon took the sea. Due to the fact that he is the god of the underworld many people think that he "causes" death but that's not the case as he simple just rule of the underworld and makes sure all death stays in the underworld.

Another thing that can be taken into consideration, is that Greek gods and goddess, along with other Greek mythology legends is that, these legends aren't suppose to be about role models or "Good guys" there's suppose to be about lessons. Though many people mistake this.

My family is Indian, so I am exposed to a lot of Indian culture. We eat Indian food for dinner, and some of my favorite foods are in the Indian cuisine. In addition, when we watch movies, we watch a lot of Indian movies, e.g., Gol Maal, Chupke Chupke, Anand, etc. Finally, a lot of my family/friends are Indian, and we share Indian beliefs, food, and social issues with each other, so I have a lot of exposure to what is happening in India. Another wayI know what is happening in India is when I go to India each year in the winter (Obviously I am not going this year). During that time we travel around India, spend time with family and friends, and in general be aware of what is happening around us. These are some ways in which I am aware of another culture.

Answer: Most soldiers on both sides died from disease rather than their wounds.

Explanation:

During the Civil War the North and the South went to war over different views on certain issues with the main one being slavery. Hundreds of thousands died on both sides but in the end it was shown that most of the deaths were not from wounds received in battle but rather disease.

Disease was responsible for the deaths of around two-thirds of the soldiers fighting in that war with Diarrhoea and Dysentery killing the majority as a result of poor sanitation and crowded conditions. Other diseases included malaria, pneumonia, tuberculosis and small pox.

Identify one effect of the creation of Gutenberg’s press.
a. literacy rates increased
b. scientific discoveries were less likely to be widely known
c. interest in the Americas declined
d. the middle ages

Answers

Answer:

A. Literacy rates increased

Explanation:

Before the Gutenberg press was created, people depended on the priest or the literates to read to them about the bible or the news. They were not telling the truth about what the bible really said, and used people's fear to make them buy Indulagence. However, Martin Luther was against this and wrote books preaching against the church. A way to get these new teachings to the people was to make many copies of them by using the Gutenberg press.
