Account synchronization allows you to configure multiple ClearOS servers together to use the same directory structure under OpenLDAP.

• If you are going to use the AD connector, choose:
  • Standalone
• If you are going to connect this server to an existing ClearOS OpenLDAP directory, choose:
  • Slave
• If this server is going to be the first of a series of ClearOS servers to use the same directory structure or it merely has the potential to do so, choose
  • Master
• If this server is NEVER going to have other ClearOS servers share its directory structure, choose
  • Standalone
