Procedures for High Available Servers

This guide covers restart procedures for ClearBOX servers in redundant mode.

Typical Considerations

Typically ClearBOX is configured in Primary/Backup mode. You may need shut down your servers from time to time but you don't want to trigger a 'takeover' event.

To do this, perform the following:

Shutdown

  • Backup first
  • Primary second

Start up

  • Primary first
  • Backup second
