OpenLDAP is an open source suite of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) applications, servers and clients.

• The slapd.conf configuration methodology is still in use. ClearOS will migrate to the /etc/openldap/slapd.d methodology at a future date… maybe.

• The init.d startup script was modified to allow binding the LDAP server to LAN IP addresses.
