Now that you have downloaded your ClearOS VMware Basic image, you can begin the install. The VMware Basic images can be used on the following VMware products:

• VMware Server
• VMware Player
• VMware Fusion (Mac)

• Make sure you have the correct ClearOS download for VMware Player.
• Unzip the download. This will create the directory for the VMware Player machine.
• Move this directory to a a convenient location on your file system.
• In VMware Fusion, select <navigation>File|Open a Virtual Machine</navigation> and browse to the directory that was created in the previous step.
• Select the .vmx file and click on Open
• Start the virtual machine.
• Login as root with password clearos.

• Make sure you have the correct ClearOS download for VMware Fusion.
• Unzip the download. This will create the directory for the VMware Fusion appliance.
• Move this directory to a a convenient location on your file system.
• In VMware Fusion, select <navigation>File|Open</navigation> and browse to the directory that was created in the previous step.
• Start the virtual machine.
• Login as root with password clearos.
