Process Viewer

The Process Viewer app provides an overview of processes running on your ClearOS system. Among other uses, you can use this tool to view which processes are consuming the most system resources: CPU, memory, and running time.

Installation

If your system does not have this app available, you can install it via the Marketplace.

You can find this feature in the menu system at the following location:

<navigation>System|System Resources|Process Viewer</navigation>

Configuration

If you find a particular process using too many resources, you can kill the process by hitting the Kill for the process. Please be very careful using this option as it can destabilize the system if a critical process is killed. When in doubt, a reboot is recommended.
